Tomomitsu Ôdachi

This Ôdachi was made by Tomomitsu in 1366, during the Nambokuchô era (1336 - 1392).

Mei (name): Tomomitsu. 

Location: Futarasan Jinja, Tochigi.

Period: Nambokuchô (1336 - 1392).

 

This Ôdachi has a nagasa (cutting edge) of 126.0 cm and sori (curvature) of 5.8 cm.

The width of the blade at the base is 4.4 cm and the width near the tip is 3.0 cm.

The kissaki is 6.7 cm long.

It is displayed with Nodachi mounts that are 178 cm long.
