Making a blade.
Now it's time to turn the blade over and do it all again. Mark the
line at 7.5 mm and 11 mm.
After grinding, it should look like this. The blade is now ready to be
normalized.
Your blade is now ready for heat treatment. If you
don't have access to heat treating equipment, send your blade to your local
Bladesmith.
Heat the blade evenly until it is non-magnetic and let it air cool. Repeat
this at least 3 times to acquire good grain size in the seel.
The blade will develop some scale. This is normal.
Clean off the scale with 180 grade wet and dry. Check that there are
no grind marks near the edge and finish by rubbing parallel to the edge.
