Looking at swords in Japan
Tokyo

During my holiday to Japan in November 1999 I visited Tokyo.
I went there to visit The Japanese Sword Museum at 4-25-10 Yoyogi, Shibuya-ku..
THE JAPANESE SWORD MUSEUM

Open 9:00 - 4:00, then museum is closed on Mondays and from Dec 28th to Jan 4th.
I paid the 525 yen entrance fee and entered.

The Japanese Sword Museum

The museum has a collection of 120 pieces of swords and fittings.

It also has a good book store at the entrance/exit of the main display room.

If you want to see more swords in Japan, I strongly suggest visiting Osafune.

HOW TO GET THERE

The museum is just off this map, but it gives you an accurate perspective of where it is.
